quite easy, because on your doorstep there are countless opportunities to get to know and explore the area around the Wildkogel Arena, the Dürnbachtal and Trattenbachtal. Of course, nothing stands in the way of a hike in the Hohe Tauern. Here in the alpine landscape of Austria, life shows itself from the sunny side. Lush alpine meadows, deep blue mountain lakes and an incomparable panorama invite you to exciting hikes.

Cycling and mountain bike tours:

Experience the gently ascending paths, trails and tours in the high valleys of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in one of the largest biking areas in Europe. Whether it's tours on the Wildkogel or Rettenstein area, descents into the Mühlbachtal or Dürnbachtal valleys or crossing the Alps on the original Transalp Challenge, every biker's heart will beat faster.
In addition to numerous mountain bike routes, the tours range from leisurely family routes along the Tauern Cycle Path to routes that can be optimally ridden with an e-bike to challenging tours that demand quite a bit of fitness from you.

Panorama & Slide Trail

The Panorama Trail, starting at the top station and ending at the middle station of the Wildkogelbahn, provides breathtaking views of the highest mountains in the Hohe Tauern National Park.  
The big highlight awaits at the middle station of the Wildkogelbahn: the slide trail makes hiking in the Salzburg mountains with small and big children really fun. Up to Alpengasthof Stockenbaum, you will encounter ten stainless steel slides ranging from 22 to 53 metres in length. On sliding mats, you enter the sliding fun. You disappear into tubes, dive into troughs and whizz over waves. The slide with free-fall effect elicits many a scream of surprise.

Mountain cart track

Directly from the top station, the Smaragdbahn in Bramberg am Wildkogel, you slip into a fun summer experience. The winding mountain cart track goes over approx. 4 kilometres to the middle station and provides the right drive, thanks to the all-terrain, three-wheeled carts.

Adventure Arena Kogel-Mogel

The adventurous Adventure Arena Kogel-Mogel, directly at the mountain station of the Wildkogelbahn offers you and your family a unique play experience in the mountains. 
Stations such as the giant trampoline, the Kogel-Mogel climbing tower, the parcours and much more await you on 10,000 square metres. Whether big or small, this is an experience you won't soon forget.

National Park SummerCard

From 01 May to 31 October, the National Park SummerCard is your faithful companion for both your summer and autumn holidays.
It offers numerous inclusive services and discounts, such as the Krimml Waterfalls and WaterWorlds, the Bramberg Museum and the National Park Centre in Mittersill, as well as rides on the Wildkogel cable cars. An absolute highlight are trips over the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the Gerlos Alpine Road. All local and public transport is included daily as well as some hiking taxis. There are also discounts at many excursion destinations. The National Park SommerCard is included in the price of the overnight stay.
